Andrejs co-founded Qiao.lv in the spring of 2011 and has been integral to introducing the company’s trade and business development consultancy services to the Chinese market. Before establishing Qiao.lv, Andrejs founded and managed a venture development consultancy: Orient Investments Ltd. consulting leading companies including JSC Swedbank and SGB Baltics on business, trade and export ventures and projects in Central Asia. Prior to that, Andrejs was Head of Mission, Counsellor of Economic and Commercial Affairs at the Trade Mission of the Republic of Latvia in the Republic of Kazakhstan. In addition to his professional experience, Andrejs holds an MBA from Riga Business School (in cooperation with State University New York and Ottawa University), as well as a Master’s degree in Industrial Mathematics: Modelling and Scientific Computing from the University of Kaiserslautern.
As the co-founder of Qiao.lv, Karlis brings a wealth of strategic venture and investment consultancy experience to the company’s operations. Prior to jointly founding Qiao.lv in May 2011, Karlis has spent more than 20 years in top level business and manufacturing holding a range of specialist positions including as the Managing Director of the printing company JSC Rigas Paraugtipogrāfija, Head of Production and Consultant in Production Matters to the leading Latvian packaging manufacturer JSC Kvadra pak, and from 2003 as a Board Member of JSC Kvadra pak, specialising in issues related to corporate governance and business development.
From 2012, leaving the job as VGKvadraPak, operates as a business angel, and investment project related to metalworking, energy and international economic relations and promotion.
Parallel to this, Karlis has augmented his vast business experience through his various roles as Vice-President of the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s (LCCI), Head of EU Fund Working Group, LCCI Council Member, and Latvian Printers’ Association Board Member.
